This has been an extraordinary year and i really can't wait for the year to come! 2008 will be great and 2009 will be a perfect dime? or just fine? Well, here i am determined to make it into Nursing school, lose weight and TRAVEL! I will go to NY;I will buy a cheesy i love NY shirt, go on the Sex and The City tour and take multiple pictures to rub in YO FACE! *smiles* and Costa Rica y Peru? Yo espero! We'll see what the funds could provide. Maybe I'll bid farewell to the local night scene and become a bit of a hermit for a minute.. not. I'll have to find some way to cut back, i suppose. Wish me luck guys! 2009 will be a great year, AGAIN!

The most happiest time of the year?

Well, I have palpable reasons to think otherwise, Mr. Williams. Geez, it's kind of sad staring at one christmas card taped next to that Clarinex clock on the wall. The green effect (YAY),as well as the poor economy(BOO), has hit i suppose? Yes! Save paper and spare those meaningless Christmas cards with your routine greetings engrossed on the bottom of a pre-written message. With this years troubles, e-cards will have to suffice. Afterall, It's the thought that counts :I
So i've been hitting up this uncommon goods website. So neat! I found these cute journals, life cards, unusual dishware and smelly pencils
...............
creative zing!
or really hurtin'? you could easily give someone a laugh or smile by sharing ridiculous things you find on the world wide web....call me simple, but i love love love getting stupid, dumb, totally pointless things to laugh at..psh like theres anything else to do right?
....
Well, i saw this on the letterman show the other night. I thought it was a hoot!
teehee, a month later, but hey, it's better late than never!

It's election day!

Vote Obama or you suck. The man gives me chills when he speak

1. Health Care has always been a huge concern of mine. Being in the field of medicine, i have seen things that are rather disturbing. i.e the lack of health care for all. The worst part is that it hits close to home.>> My dad, I want him to live forever! but the outstanding price of healthcare haults him from doing so. GRRRRR, angry Kelly. Obama will lower the cost!

2. The war. End it.

3. Women. As one, hm, i could kind of sympathize right? DUH. IM ALL FOR Pro-choice! Screw disapproval of abortions, especially in cases of rape. Yes, we may be responsible for our actions and should take the necessary precautions in order to prevent the following from happening, but sometimes its out of your control.

Any who, this is history in the making and things will change! I'm so glad i'm alive for this :D

------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE: Yes we can!!! And we did! Cheers to the first step towards a change in America! Not justice, but change! I only hope everyone came together and voted for him for his ideological ideas rather than voting for him merely because of the color of his skin.

Oh my vegetables! The time has passed

i haven't blogged in a while.... HELLO WORLD! I am, indeed, still alive!!
Seattle stories and Lovefest '08 soon to come!!
In the mean time........ Did you know that laughing is a survival tool for social animals like ourselves? a "social lubricant," if you will. It is not about getting the joke, it's about getting along. SO. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you may not be that funny. I KNOW, I KNOW, that's absurd! At least in my case 'cause I''m freaking hilarious, RIGHT guys? *Holds gun to head*

Yea.. i thought so.

OK, so end of pointless facts. Until next time!

Viva Las Vegas!

Labor day weekend couldnt have been any sweeter! and hotter. Ick, but i couldnt ask for a better way to consummate the end of this long amazing summer! Where else! In Vegas baby~where the guys come easy and the girls come cheap. :x not speaking for myself of course. So we flew into Vegas, what a nice way to get there; last year we drove and my butt was sore for a week i swear. We then got to our BEAUTIFUL suite at the MGM signature. I felt like that was the jackpot. I did not expect to be placed in a such a gorgeous hotel and the service was outstanding. First supper in Vegas was at Emeril's. Wow was it overpriced and food was far from excellent. The service on the other hand was out of this world great. Anywho, we hit up pure that night, i broke my phone [eh] and Regina threw up everywhere because of the Belv. Day 1 Accomplished. Saturday was also mucho fun. Lounge at the pool ( that was $15 per slide of the room card, HOW MISLEADING!). Later that night we ate at Shibuya, a great sushi place in the MGM grand. Beautiful interior and fresh fresh fish. If you got dough to drop, then try it. The entrees were like butter and mouth. Club of choice? Tao! Where the pretty people at? Where the pretty people at? Yeah, we were singing that the whole night. Uh. Next day, met up with my sexies from Planet Beauty @ Tao Beach, but not before grabbin a bite to eat at Nathan's! A greasy Chili dog right before we enter a place where people starve themselves for weeks with hopes of looking like skinny firecrackers. I dont know what we were thinking, matter of fact.. i think we werent..Our stomachs must have been doing the thinking. The philly cheesesteak was yummy! But the Hot dogs were subpar; Nothing that you couldnt easily order @ Weinerschnitzel. Our last day in Vegas *sigh* Time. for. total. inebriation. *robot voice* Tao Beach was off the hook! Great people, stiff drinks and live music. AND we were lucky enough to meet Drew Gooden from the Chicago Bulls! A Bay Area Native! A really tall one. Anyway, this is the epitome of what a pool party is. Loves it! 6 O'clock rolled around and BOO, you end. Time for part 2. Unfortunately, we didn't get that far. Going home to get ready while being a lush child is not easy. After an hour or so of alcohol induced pillow talk with my girlies....we finally got ready for Tryst. Too bad so sad..on the way there i lost my wallet! Mother furker. 2 hours of searching, no club, no love and a contract that states i have to kiss Gina and Cheryls feet after buying them both a Filet Mignon because of my insobriety. Ha ha. Monday rolls around and HUNGOVER was an understatement. I wanted to vomit on anything and everything, but i contained my insides and just remained in a crappy, for lack of better words, state. All packed up and almost leavin on our jetplane,we decided to bid farewell to Vegas with one last supper at Wolfgangs Bar and Grill where the Chicken soup cured my repugnant feeling towards...um.. life and Organic chicken solved all my problems, that is until we missed our flight. WTF. WTF. WTF. One bad taxi driver and two stupid airport ladies delayed our marathon sprint to the gate. After barely making it to the gate for last call we find out, OH WHAT? Our tickets are waitlisted and our seats were given away. I HATE UNITED AIRLINES! We had two choices. Get waitlisted with the 10 other people that were trying to make the next two flights OR drive. Cheryl cried, we drove. Labor day traffic......9 hours....left at 6 o'clock. We got a car @ National for a one way trip. Cute little chevy Hybrid! It was one Loooooong ride, but i wouldnt have wanted to spend it with any other two girls! We laughed the whole time! Out of our complete and utter stupidity? I suppose. I snooze for 30 minutes on Highway 5 only to wake up by "Kelly, what do i take 580 or 5?" Me: "Huh?" We arrived at 4 in the morning after driver passed 152 and drove to Tracy. When things couldn't have gotten worse! We busted out in hysterical laughter and headed back home. Although it was a series of unfortunate events, it was too much fun and i can't wait to do it again and party harder the next time around!! Vivaaaaa!!

Cute!

How cute, I didn't realize anyone else makes wishes at this time too! I always announce it and make people wish with me, but eh, they just think i'm strange. Fine losers! Hm, I read a little about it and it says that the mayans believe that in 2012 at 11:11 our world will end and start over again. Also that 11:11 is for 'lightworkers'; ones that hold light of love and te blah blah. Fun little childhood game, try it out :)

Mmmm, Cupcakes

Teehee. cute, i made cupcakes finally! They were intended to be these delicious out of this world batch that was unforgettably moist and delectable...instead, dry and amateur. Not my calling? Not necessarily! It was so much fun to make and i'm sure with more experience i'll be pretty kick ass at this cupcake thing! Leave any tips! (exclude any comment that consist of STOP and or Don't make them anymore. I know you were thinking it. )

San Francisco?

It's cold, it's dirty and filled with bums. Also holds some of the finest culinary establishments, is extremely eco-friendly, has a three story Forever21, great bars anda plethora of characters that I, for one, would LOVE to meet. Oh yes, My next adventure lies ahead and is coming very soon! Since we're currently in the process of selling our townhome *sob* i will need a new place to flee. If i'm going to be living in an apartment before my next big move to sunny SoCal then why not SF! Plus bestie is going to USF so it would nice for her to be situated and then have her realize that the cold city without her best friend is indeed!.. no bueno. After that she'll pack her bags, get accepted to school in southern california and a new adventure will start. Ha ha, yeah right. She's probably laughing her head off as she read that. Very excited!

I heart biking.

my new love. I'm sure you enjoy coming home, leaving your car at home and biking to your errands. no?... You better. Studies show that a majority of our errands are 5 miles or less away from our homes! Not only will you be saving the enviroment, but you'll be saving a few dollars on gas. I saved a quarter tank of gas for not driving after i came home from work this past week!! thats 4 gallons! 20 dollars! While getting a kick ass excercise...and for those spiritual heads: good karma.(I got two pairs of Seychelles this weekend that i've been ogling the heck out for the past 2 months ON SALE! Total savings: $63.00).. life is golden. Check the left photo. Hellllllo sexy... please excuse me as i drool continuously for the next few minutes. HELLO KITTY PINK CRUISER..This is the next best thing after world peace.

Anywho.. I'm planning on writing a letter to the county to have them paint in more bike lanes for the "eco-friendly" community. If you live in Santa Clara County, will you please help me by also sending a letter in?
Infomation:
Coming soon.
Thank you! Mother earth loves you!

Oh, let me rephrase that, trying to surf, but again getting owned. I'm am glad to say i have made some progression/improvement though! Mmhmm that's right. I don't even know how i'm managing to type cause im so darn sore. Crazy, 2 hours ago i was on a different planet, well, mindstate wise, so relaxed and enjoying everything. I even got one foot away from a sea otter! It was cute;we named her/him Jerry..ok back to the story... and then i return back to the oh so pleasant Santa Clara and i have a f*ing migraine; Aint that some shh*t. Maybe its a sign! Uhh or not idk. Anyway, i can't wait to go again. For those of you looking to try, there is a store--SC Ripcurl, one block down from the beach, that rents out boards and wetsuits! Board-$15 and Wetsuit is $10. Service is helpful and real easy. It is worth every second. .....Bon voyage!

Memorial Day Weekend

was so much fun! but stinker, tuesday back to the real world. I took my baby cousin to San Francisco. My dear deprived little one. We checked out Hot cookie, which was as the gays would say "fabbulous baby". It was on the Castro, what a lively Saturday! Check out my Cookie. I like cookies :) mhmmmm, yes i do. Now stop and tell me this isnt the most awesome thing you've ever seen! The following day we went to Santa Cruz. There was fire in the mountains a few days prior to our visit, but i guess they got it under control? I swear, I always forget how close SC is; it's that convuluted Highway 17 that's drives me loco en la cabeza ...and always throws my stomach into crazyland.

DT Santa cruz first. So aweeeesome, freezing though; How unfortunate. I love coming here, cutest clothes and bunny shoes<3>
The following day, i finally hiked Mission peak in Freakmont with some good friends ..and i dragged my cousins along. 3 pure dirt miles of hauling ass up these huge hills; it was so worth it. Words could not express how beautiful the view is once you reach the top. Heres a picture of my "si se puede" moment. VICTORY!!!!! Tip for those who want to hike here. Wear a sweater and bring water. It gets FREEZING when you get close to the top and you'll be super dehydrated. That concluded the end of my fun-filled weekend. We then packed them up and shipped them back out to the mean streets of LA. Aww.. i miss them. I LOVE my family!

They must have went into my dreams and took the idea. sneaky smarties. Can't wait to try it.

Worth your time : Two Choices.

John is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, 'If I were any better, I would be twins!'He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked him, 'I don't get it!''You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?'He replied, 'Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or...you can choose to be in a bad mood
I choose to be in a good mood.'Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or...I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life.'Yeah, right, it's not that easy,' I protested.'Yes, it is,' he said. 'Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life.'I reflected on what he said. Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.I saw him about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, 'If I were any better, I'd be twins...Wanna see my scars?'I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.'The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter,' he replied. 'Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I chose to live.''Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?' I asked. He continued, '...the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action.''What did you do?' I asked.
'Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me,' said John. 'She asked if I was allergic to anything 'Yes, I replied.' The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Gravity''Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead.'He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude...I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully.Attitude, after all, is everything. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.' After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

hoppy hiking easter

Indeed it was! I spent it with my mommy. It was so beautiful outside. Super sunny with a near perfect breeze, so we decided to go up to Cupertino for some quality hiking and wine tasting. With the fact that a hundred bugs were buzzing in my ear and my lovely spring allergies were in full affect put aside, i had a splendid time :)
We hiked, we drank and i even saw a mini WATERFALL! Ok, not that exciting i know, but i was stoked. The trees were a luscious green color and the flowers were at their baby bloom. mmm. i love the outdoors!

Now...for the wine review. Wow. New found love! We were able to try 5 wines for $5 which was sweet. The little man behind the counter even managed to sneak in a club member only wine for me! 1 bonus point! I tried the Rose, a gorgeous pink wine which was splendid dahlinnnn' *pinky finger up* Next, Sangiovese and um..? forgot but they were red wines. Pair those babies up with some artery clogging red meat and Booya! i'd be floating on cloud nine! I ended this pleasurable experience with my desert wines. One word. an extended aaahhh-mazing. Port was smooth and great with chocolate; my mom was poundin' it down. Mission was served on the rocks and a zest of limon. Muy classy and enveloped my palate perfectly!

Say Hello to Frozo's

Oh My Gullai. Yeah, i adopted a new hobbie. Eating froyo until my sides explode because the muffin top look is so in style. Yup, aside from being a sarcasm whore i work part time as a Frozen Yogurt Whore. Went to Frozo's today with my brother from another mother, loneLAY. I look close to orgasmic in this picture. Why? because who knew that captn' crunch and plain tart yogurt with strawberries was SO amazing! It was like a flavor explosion in my mouth mate. As for chris.. hmm his Froyo looks like trash. He didn't know what to expect so her filled his cup up with the Cheesecake yogurt, rainbow sprinkles and those nasty cherry that are soaked in syrup. ACK. No wonder you're my brother..you're just as weird as me! Can't wait for more.

Current Wish List

Coffee Society

Yipee for Barefoot coffee! Isn't my coffee just the cutest thing you've ever seen? I ordered the Cubano which is 2 espresso shots and half and half creamer. Gee got the Cafe Brulee, an espresso with sugar in the raw poured on top of the foam and then blown with a blow torch. Awesome? Creative? unique? i think sooo. The pastries were half off after seven which is a MAJOR score for those few crackheads like myself who enjoy drinking lattes at night. Orange Brioche and silky smooth coffee *droool.* I deserve a slap on the wrist for eating it though. They even offer a Saturday 10Am (FREE mind you) class to teach you about the acidity, boldness blah blah of coffee! Mmm. Yummay yummay. I love playing Coffee Connoisseur.

Lemonade Cleanse

Lemons. Sound appetizing don't it?
Im starving. Oh lord..
So, today is the first day of my crazy lemonade cleanse. The only thing keeping me from eating is a tight skirt that makes my jello roll over to form a delicious roll. mmhm. They suggest 10 days, but nooo don't rob me from my life! You could take my car, my pen, my dignity, but not my Food!NEVER! With that said I will onlyattempt to last for 3 days. Supposebly it's suppose to detoxify your body and cleanse the intestinal walls and colon; After my first bottle i could clearly see why. Lemons, Maple syrup, water and Cayenne pepper!? Oh Rearry? Lets play psychic (my secret life).. Dear crystal ball..What shall i expect? ....err........I see running in my future. lots-o-it. oh, oh another image is appearing:

:) Smile its the weekend.

Paris, Je T'aime

What an unusual movie. 18 short pieces from 20 different directors. Like a sample platter of sweet confections. I giggled, i cried, but In the end i was left with a huge question mark imprinted on my forehead. Maybe good for movie buffs, but not for the everyday person. Although the movie wasn't an hit in my book; i could say that after watching this omnibus flick, i've never been more eager to visit Paris again. Oh, you city of love, how i love you.

all hail thy bookstores

gosh these places are so awesome!! So, idk when this started, but Borders now allows you to listen to an entire album before purchasing it! All it takes it the scan of the barcode in the store and poof! magic. The album is there before your ears and ready to make sweet sweet love to them.
The books! ohhh you books. My favorite mind fork. It's amazing though, as i was people-watching in my cozy corner... i just realized a majority of the customers neglect the stimulation and go directly to the gossip mags. mhhmm...ahhhh.. the superficial world we live in.

so there was a few books caught my eye. I just HAD TO share them. It was be so unfair to the world if i wasnt to tell you about my recent discoveries. :) I'm so thoughtful. Anywho, Gee and i probably stood there laughing for a good hour or so. Who thinks of these books!? Imagine sitting in a coffee shop reading one of these. Oh lord, a guy-magnet on its own! mmhm bulgogee, Me love it.

Not really..sunday study-day AND! Postsecret day! My favorite thing to start the week with.
Log onto postsecrets.blogspot.com
They sell books full of secrets from random people throughout the nation.
Nice way to start the morning. Reading secrets that are anonymous to the world. Hm.. I wonder how it feels like to have your secret exposed to the world. Leave no traces!

My 2 Favorites this week!

Yum Yum

Today i ate at Mandalay noodle ~ 760 East Calaveras Blvd.Milpitas, CA 95035

Talk about Yummmmmmmy.. new Burmese place that opened up. Dr. Chiong and his wifey we're very excited/anxious to go there. Hmmm Let me see we ordered like 7 things; MAN, These folks can eat.

Fried Opo with Sauce -Delicious! Its like Squash Tempura. Yum
Gin Thoke- Ginger Salad with Peanuts ~~ Not really my thing
Ohn Noh Kaukswe
Mandalay Noodle
Moh Hin Gha (Fish chowder rice noodle soup)
Shan Kaukswe (Rice noodle, pickle mustard with chicken tomatoes gravy)
Roti with Curry

Wow. I don't know how i managed to sample everything. Unfortunately i'm suffering from the dreaded food coma. All those noodles spiked my sugar levels and now.....im left thirsty and sleepy. IT WAS SO WORTH IT!

The purpose of life is a life of purpose

Happy New Year!
Yes, Indeed a Fresh start. smells fresh.. is fresh!

Searching the web today and found a few funny & motivational quotes.

My favorite one:

"Life is a shit sandwich. But if you've got enough bread, you don't taste the shit."

HAHAH now how true is that one.
