It's my anniversary today and sadly, it also marks the date of Whitney Houston's death. I grew up listening to this lady. Always will be the best singer to grace our presence!

December visit to La La Land

One of my good friends from Iowa came to visit her boyfriend in LA and we just couldn't wait one more week to see her! We took a trip to LA where we dined about and got our needed R & R. Here's a few pictures from the vacation. We stopped by Cabo Cantina for magaritas, Bottega Louie for dinner and macarons, New can tung seafood for some lobster and many more! It was a glutton's dream come true.

Birthday Fun

It's my birthday! Spent it with some of the best people. We had a staycation in SF and went out to random bars followed by a day in the city. The lover and I went to the last Giants game of the season and although we lost, it was still great! My birthday weekend was capped off by a surprise b-day party that blew my mind. I never felt so lucky! I really have the best friends in the world and I couldn't thank life enough for giving me each one of them.

Beef Carpaccio

I've been craving this Vietnamese dish called Bo Tai Chanh for TWO weeks! Usually when there is an existing craving, i fill it within the week, if not the day! I found this amazing and easy recipe online at this couples blog called the ravenous couple. They have so many great ideas and recipes that are so easy to follow!
