Birthday Fun

It's my birthday! Spent it with some of the best people. We had a staycation in SF and went out to random bars followed by a day in the city. The lover and I went to the last Giants game of the season and although we lost, it was still great! My birthday weekend was capped off by a surprise b-day party that blew my mind. I never felt so lucky! I really have the best friends in the world and I couldn't thank life enough for giving me each one of them.

Beef Carpaccio

I've been craving this Vietnamese dish called Bo Tai Chanh for TWO weeks! Usually when there is an existing craving, i fill it within the week, if not the day! I found this amazing and easy recipe online at this couples blog called the ravenous couple. They have so many great ideas and recipes that are so easy to follow! I didn't kill anybody with my cooking! Woohoo! If you're ever craving this and can't find it, this is a must try. You can thank me later.

I had a chance to check out a music group called the bag raiders on Thursday - they were awesome! Thanks again to my dear friend, Kristina, for always introducing me to new music! She just started a new blog called casualkool.com that integrates both music and fashion. It's just coming into existence, like a baby out the womb, but I know she will be a shooting star in the blogging world in a flash.

Sickly Sweet

Feb 11, 2011 Our Anniversary Dinner @ Chapeau! Quite the experience! The chef greeted us after we were seated and the waiters were beyond great. The food delivered more than I could handle! We had the Fois Gras, Steak and Pork wrapped in Bacon. (I'll post pictures later)

After, we went over to Polk Street to visit a Wine Bar called Amelie. On our way there we saw Bob's Donuts, which is on the 7x7 Big Eats 2010 and 2011. The Apple Fritter was the pastry to try, but that's not what i had to photograph. Check out this DONUT! It's humongous or as Vy would say, duh guys, it's obvious; it's gargantuan!

If you have to wait 1 hour for roast chicken that cost 48 dollars, you would opt out for the $15 hamburger, too! (Grilled onion- $1 extra) Gr.

week 4, 5, 6

Dear goodness! This thing was much harder than i thought once i lost my iPhone 4! The quality of the old 3g's are horrible. Eek! I will start reposting again soon!

Week 3

1-16-11 Bloggerworld. Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton. Bloggerworld. He's a 'celebrity dog' according to his daddy. He was hanging out with his entourage of 1 in the mean streets of DT Mountain View! Gina stopped without hesitation, pointed at the dog and said " I know him" with no acknowledgment of his owner. HA! He's so cute though, don't you think?


1-17-11 Ray and I were on a mad dash for a heart on the Embarcadero. I could recall seeing one long ago and he had faint recollections of seeing one, too. We gave up and looked it up on Google.
How many did we find that day? NONE. We did find a huge cupids arrow though ! This is situated right next to the bay bridge on the Embarcadero. Definitely a pretty site to see.
Unfortunately, today sucked - no hearts and i lost my iPhone 4 - BUMMER. I won't sulk over it; I suppose life will go on.


1-18-11 without an iPhone i'm forced to use my SLR. There's a PRO of losing it, i suppose.


1-19-11 Me and my hon went to Hakone Gardens in Saratoga. There's a $5 admission charge, but it goes to a good cause- the maintenance! It's a beautiful garden filled with a pond of koi fish, bamboo garden, statues and a huge viewing house that overlooks the entire ground. From what I've read, there are many weddings held here. I could only imagine how pretty it is when spring time hits!


1-20-11 *sighs* I activated Nam's iPhone today. Back to the 2nd generation; it has a shitty screen, static and is not capable of having multiple apps open. I can't listen to pandora as play cut the rope! The HORROR!!!!!!! Another day crying over spilled milk, but with a different weapon of choice- Jubilee Ice Cream from Thrifty! I always loved this ice cream since I was a kid. It seemed to do the trick that day.



1-21-11 Today I've adopted a second name; It's ohmygodherpicturesaresoeffinboring. I heard it enough times to make it legally a second name. I really had nothing to do today, so i organized my rings. Oh, what an exciting life i live! Just for the record, I LOVE RINGS! They are the perfect gift. hint hint

1-22-11 We went to tahoe this morning! I didn't get a chance to board this morning because Ray's bad shoulder, so we went tubing and had some free snow play time! For the record, tubing sucks at Sierra! Later that night we all went back to the cabin and this happened. HAHAHA
The girls walked into him peeing and he freaked out. no names mentioned - clearly, the picture says enough !
