This love

We saw Maroon 5 yesterday at the Greek Theater in Berkeley and they blew me away! I've grown this new love for live music and i keep getting more and more impressed with the performances I see! Even from the distance of the dry lawn seats, or, rather, the dry grass slides we sat on, Adam Levine was a fire cracker. His sexy little leg shake and wide, firm stance he does when he sings. *breaths heavily* Anywho, they played a great variety and ended with my favorite Sunday morning. I recorded it so, i'll post it up here! For now, i'll post my current favorite song from them that's on their new album.

The Real Wine Country

Hi. I'm in Napa. Okay, just kidding. This is kind of an old post - about 3 months old to be exact, but whatever, better late than never! Recently, i went to Napa for the first time and frankly, it wasn't anything that would get my panties in a bundle for. There is winery after winery and restaurants that rob your wallet for all they're worth, but i still appreciate it for what it is. After extensive research, we decided to stay at Churchill Manor B&B; plus, we couldn't get a reservation at our other desired location on such late notice. It was super suite. tehehe.

Ah, is it wrong that I couldn't wait to sleep?
There was such Plush bedding, a vintage tub, cute daybed and a view that overlooked the garden three stories below. We were also given complimentary wine and cheese tastings at the B&B at 5:00 PM and woke up to a DELICIOUS breakfast on the patio with our tasty (and strong) mimosas - forget the coffee! It was quite the relaxing experience. Now, to spare you the details and mush, I'll just give you a picture narrative tour of my Napa experience with my wanna-be pimp daddy.
1.We started at Domaine Carneros because it was on the way to our B&B! A spontaneous decision,

2. The tiny grapes we saw during the tour of the place. I think it was only about 25 bucks to go through the factory with generous wine tasting. They had very informative staff! Absolutely loved the place.

3. Cambo girls can jump. I want a castle :(

4. Awww.. Ugh. The pretty girl and the mediocre boy. It also ends up like this. Eh. I'll just go with the flow. :P

All done and arriving at our beautiful B&B, Churchill Manor. Totally 5+++ stars!

The complimentary wine and snacks on the patio from 5-6 PM and we went to dinner at the local culinary school where the graduates work (no amateurs!) It was still as pricey as any other restaurant and the food was tasty, but i would consider eating elsewhere in the future.

Morning time=Breakfast time! The most delicious muffins were served as well as the fruit and yogurt you see below. They had two menu options: French toast or Quiche. We obviously got one of each and shared; they were super tasty.

Fruit and yogurt starter and muffins

After breakfast, we went to Artesa Winery, where we met the coolest sommelier. Cheap wine tastings with an amazing view. Can't miss this one for sure! It's definitely one of the most futuristic wineries compared to the others.

After you get your tasting, you can go to the patio and enjoy the view of the vineyard.

On our way to V. Sattui (The last Winery) We stopped in Yountville for some Bouchon Bakery!
Nutter Butter, Signature Brownie and Caramel Macaron all made by the same chef of French Laundry. Because we were so full from the cheese and wine and sandwiches we left no room for dessert! sad face. Then, i left it at the bf's house and it was history from there.

V Sattui picnic with our Riesling summer wine and deli sandwiches. One of the coolest and relaxing wineries we visited. I would totally come here again in a heartbeat!

Thanks to my W.B.P.D for wining and dining me <3

New Obsession

One of my awesome girl friend's introduced me to a new band and i can't help but share them! They're an up and coming Indie rock band from Ireland and i really can't stop vomitting praise for them. We won tickets to a private showing and were one arm away from their excellence. After they let us meet and greet and get autographs! We were so close we could dry hump them- Not that i had the idea to do so.o_O. jk Okay, gross. Whatever. Enjoy!

That One That Gives You Butterflies.

and made you shed the tears. Website sharing time! Not all of us will experience 'The one that got away', but for the ones that have, remember that you're not alone, it happens, and it's okay. Really. Put that razor down. Things will be fine. Feel lucky that you've been able to experience all these emotions - how lucky are you to have felt what your maximum peak of happiness could be like; How it feels like to float. Even the bad feelings just make you stronger than you were-Unless you dead; that wouldn't really be relevant.

I found some heartfelt, wistful stories that swooped me off my feet and vividly placed me into their moment in time. This is not a site full of regret and remorse, but rather a public expression of how one once felt or is capable of feeling; It proves that you don't have to hold onto the pain to hold onto the memory and fate has a funny little way of playing with you. Every picture has a story!

Be Stupid

This past weekend a few girlfriends and I were doing our walk of shame in the Tenderloin to grab some form of sustenance while we stumbled upon these Diesel ads. (Yup. We looked so lovely dressed in last nights makeup and clothes with our eyes barely open walking down them streets wreaking of that grey goose that made us loose). Here's our rendition and a few of Diesel's.

New Years Again!

This is my third new years post. Can you believe that? Where has the time gone? Well, i'm more than anxious to bid farewell to 2009. I'm looking for extremely better things this next decade. I have so much in store for the following year and i'm really looking forward to finally getting my career started!! FINALLY! April-May and i will be in training to be a nurse. FINALLY! I can't say that enough. I will make a huge list of resolutions that i plan on keeping this time around- Ironically, that's one of them. I have to keep my plans going. It's time to get focused!

Dog'on it.

Thank you, sweet dog god aka Ceasar Millan! We finally taught our mut how to shake! After 3-10,000,0000 days of sounding like a broken record, she has finally succumb to obeying our command: shake. I was getting really frustrated and impatient, but i guess it just serves as a small reminder that things take time. Rome wasn't built overnight, dogs won't learn how to shake after a few demonstrations and life won't automatically fall into place. With time and effort, things will eventually come together.

So, i'm kind of milking my last week here in Huntington Beach. It's really sad. I don't want to go! BUT Mother awaits..if only she would have informed me before i decided to spend 2000+ on moving; life would be so much easier. It's OK, i've experienced a bunch of new places and new emotions. I wouldn't trade it for the world-even my most negative times.
The other day, Little Cous and I went to Dog Beach down Goldenwest and that was fun. It was windy and chilly, but getting there on time for the sunset was a blessing! Oh, how i'll miss the beach air. Hayley would not stop barking!! It was incredibly annoying! That's just the next thing we'll have to work on. Wish me luck
'til next time! toodles.

I lost my sanity in Vegas

This Vegas trip, 2009, was in November instead of September and dear lord, was it freezing! Never again! I came back after 5. long. days. Human bodies are not concieved to stay in Vegas that long and we were the perfect example. We slept at 5 and woke up at 11 to get out by 3 to come back at 6 to get ready and drink by 9. Leave by 9:30 or 10:00, get in by 11:00, party until 4 and eat McDonalds, only to come back and pass out by 5AM; times four days. It was all well worth the sleep deprivation, hangovers, money and time. The first night Jo arrived first and we went over to Kahunaville for some cocktails - bad idea. Although the bartenders here offer quite the show, as they make the drink, they turned me into the show of the night by having me drink it. What the hell did they add in there? 99% Tequila, 1% mixer??? I was gone. From what the photos show, i learned that i love bushes, hate elevators and apparently, i can't seem to grasp why a woman with a baby didn't want to share an elevator with 6 intoxicated people? Like i had said that night: What is a baby doing out at 12 AM, anyway?!!

Anywho, it was Pacquioa weekend, so you could only imagine the horde of Filipinos! and coincidentally, the whole bay area was there. geez. We went to Prive on Friday and the new club where we were staying, XS! Sooooo beautiful and big. The line was fast, the cover was decent and we had a good time overall. No one puked. Yes. Yesssss. I consider that a success. On Sunday, we had our best day. Make it worthwhile when it's your last night, right?

We ate at Serendipity 3 (yep, just like the movie), and tried the famous Frozzzzzen Hot chocolate! It was perfect. I wish it didn't melt so fast 'cause i really wanted to get the Peanut Butter Frozzen HC to go. I just LOVE Peanut Butter!!!!!!!!!! So, less writing, more pictures.

we are all robots

Hi, how are you. Hello, how are you. Good morning, how are you. I just left two hours ago and now i'm back, how are you-how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you how are you -MALFUNCTION. The traditional greeting i hear approximately 20 times a day is beginning to morph from a sincere message of kindness to a set of programmed words. Now, don't get me wrong, I greatly appreciate your concern...when it is concern. . Next time i ask you how things are going, tell me about your life - I CARE! Hope you're doing well. xox

4 days into 4 weeks

wow. what a rollercoaster this has been. I've explored HB and have desparately explored the job market. How could a place of so much opportunity lead me the same old thing i was doing before? I'm homesick for a place i've never been. Where do you begin?

Well, here in the sunshine of SoCal i have relished the environment, food, family and of course, the beaches around me. I've realized that i miss my friends and Momma more than anything! I've learned a new thing everyday and have even been writing my serendipitous moments to live a more 'charmed' life. try it. they say it works wonders.

Day 4 in Sunny Socal

That sure is no understatement. It is scorching here! I kind of miss my clouds and sun peaking through. Home will always be home; it's where my heart always is. I bid farewell to the Bay Area on Monday and after crying my eyes out for 7 days, i had no more tears to shed. It's time to stop my fear of change from paralyzing an experience that could be the time of my life. I love my friends and family at home;i love the streets and parks; The cuisine *muah* fo' get about it, it's exquisite! but now my new 'home' will provide the same amount of excitement and debauchery as it did before. I've already embraced my personal traits that allow me to be secure and confident and i'm sure there are good people here. Good people lie everywhere. It's just a matter of finding the ones that share you interests and hold good morals.

Friends at home, i love you, i miss you and i'll see you soon :) Thanks for all your support.

untitled

yeah, you see it. an untitled blog because this will talk about absolutely (or positively as the Canadians write) nothing! except life. Last night was great, for it was meteor shower live in '09! I received one hour of sleep for every meteor that i saw leaving me at a grand total of..........drum roll, please. five. Now, I'm here, sitting at work, bright and early, lethargically snacking on a saltine cracker aka today's breakfast; It was so worth it. It was like camping with the best- we have our musically inclined, story-tellers, a solo photographer who captures the stars, comedians, flatulence enriched [ew] and mixed with alcohol we form a special cocktail that is on the top of the list of spirits. I'll have to plan a camping excursion soon. Any suggestions for campsites?

my move date is coming in two weeks. i'm counting down. watch out, Southern California! I'm excited. This is the beginning of struggles, life revelations, career opportunities, delicious cuisine and new friendships. Some good ol' challenges and chances to really rediscover what's important. can't wait.

500 days of summer

an honest and unconventional love story that captures the heart of the viewers; myself, being one. It ponders the very question that many movies(such as my sassy girl and you've got mail) put forth. FATE! so fate does exist? hm, some may get riled up on this question. After all, to be convinced that every person in this earth is destined to be friends with their friends or marry what we call 'the one', is hard to fathom, but can't a dreamer dream?

Monogomy? What?

Why do we get into relationships? We allow a person into our lives and into our hearts, risking heartbreak and emotional turbulence, hoping that the good times will outweigh the bad. We let our guard down in exchange for connection. We invest our very selves in something much bigger than us; the possibility of falling in love.

Finding “the one” is no easy task. It’s a strenuous game of trial and error that can leave us exhausted and crushed if we are not careful. In the search for connection we expose our most secret sides to another person, trusting that they will see something in us that is worth holding on to. But if finding “the one” is in fact so difficult and so wearying, why are we willing to give love a chance time after time?

These days, monogamy appears to be a dying concept. It seems as though less and less people are seeking something concrete and exclusive, opting instead for filler and fun. This concept can significantly complicate matters of relationships, because it can often be difficult to differentiate the ones who are seeking just another good time from the ones who are truly seeking someone to invest in.

In a world where the notion of monogamy seems to be disappearing as quickly as old-fashioned romance and dating, how safe is it to invest in the idea of something more? Are we just fooling ourselves, or do we really have another half? Are we betting too much in this love game, all the while setting ourselves up to be hurt?

Is monogamy dead?

Pyschology today

I love reading Psychology Today I came across this article advertised on the front page a while back-I thought that there was no such thing as accidental infidelity, but lo and behold, there IS, and Mr. Pittman, you explained it well. Is it just? No way! but his veracious explanations are convincing..Still, I think it's the lack of ones willpower to adhere to there own moral code..acts of the weak! The need for an ego boost; the need for a reason( to end a relationship);the need for a form of excitement. These are all things that could be fulfilled otherwise, and you cheat in order to attains such things? Anyway, check out the article! while you're at it, browse the site! I am sure you'll be able to grab something from it.

Simply amazing!

so, lately i've been incessantly "tumbling" on my new Tumblr . Yes, I'm sorry blogger, I've been cheating on you, but temptation was just too strong. Tumblr is pretty neat because it allows me to quickly glance at the multiple characters in the blogging world by simply opening up my dashboard. It has also exposed some of the most beautiful and inspirational photos i've ever laid eyes on! Overall, it's pretty awesome, but requires little to no thought while posting..So, here i am again. xoxoxo . On to other things, like the purpose of this post today; I ran across someone by the name of littlemisswhatever, as i was leafing through Deviantart.com, and i wanted to share her work because it was so satisfying to my senses! so much so that I am seriously scrounging up any ounce of change so i could hurry and purchase my SLR. See that penny on the ground? GIVE IT TO ME. *evil glare* yeah.

i love silhouette shots.

love shines

a very cute documentary that some and myself have found to be not only heartwarming, but very insightful. It's worth that hour. Why must we run whenever a problem arises? A small obstacle should be resolved through compromise. A relationship is not something that is readily at your disposal. Don't raise your voice, don't blame and communicate. love is funny thing.

I Heart J-MRAZ

The mirror image of a soul that I'm dying to meet! Can everyone please just read his blog and learn a thing or two? More mindfulness, value yourself, stop consuming yourself in the pressures of society, stop speaking negative of others! I hate that so many people are caught up in this. Explore your hobbies, find new friends, travel more-That's life. Just relax!! OH.. and for your hearing pleasure i shall hook you up with something that this certain monster gave to me not too long ago. It's called a mash up, i guess, but it's worthy of your time. ALL of it is. Milkman, listen to me!

Let it snowwww!

Not too long ago, a bunch of the troops set off to an adventure in the fresh powder. My second time snowboarding, but a first for my little ride snowboard! Whoo hoo! With the fact that my feet were numb for over 5 hours aside, i could proclaim the trip successful! We spent one day at the Sierra resort which was beautiful and was composed of various runs..too bad I'm a straight-up amateur. The SUPER short bunny slope and I were becoming well-acquainted! I wish i would have had a chance to hop on the other slopes; i heard they were really good. On a good note, I showed progression thanks to Nammy poo, Ray Ray, Crystal so.....um..THANK YOU! If there's one thing i learned, it's that balance is key! I can't wait to go again! and if i can't make it out, i always have the water to turn to. *hello summer sun and waves* Any who, here's some pictures from my vacay!

WHY am i so easily lured into purchasing these outrageously expensive contraptions?! I'll be doing some major exploring this year, so get ready for some rocking pictures.
